That's the way I like them. NICE soft green background contrasting with the sharp purplish flowers. Very well done!

I think btw this is a common spotted orchid, the heath spotted orchid D. Ericetorum is one that usually is found on heather fields in scotland and ireland and has a very small center lobe. The D. Fuchsii usually has a larger more pronounce center lobe then this.

The names of these orchid species is very much under development though since the orchid species itself is still evolving rapidly.

Excellent shot with a good sharpness and nice neutral green background. I think too it the Common Spotted Orchid (Dactylorhiza fuchsii), with the central lobe appeared as a short tooth. You can see some photos here. Best regards,

Je pense qu'il est encore temps de te souhaiter la bievenue sur TN !!!
La présentation du sujet est intéressante mais il me semble qu'elle souffre un tout petit peu de surexposition afin d'apprécier pleinement la finesse des détails et la délicatesse des couleurs.
Je regrette la concision du commentaire.
