Did you know these butterflies have no blue pigmentation whatsoever? The color results from light scattering, only leaving a blueish color to be reflected from the wings.

Common blue, Polyommatus icarus.

Salut my neighbour, Thierry!

Today, we have posted butterfly species pictures from the same Family I guess...coincidence! :)

I love the colors of the butterfly in your picture and the BG is just wonderful. The contrast between the golden yellow BG and blue color is just adorable. The sharpness is prefect with great POV and nice DOF.

This is a beautiful combination of the golden grasses and electric blue butterfly - very artistic. The only slight issue is that there seems to have been some vegetation between the camera and the butterfly's left wing that has blurred that part of the image a little. It does not spoil the appeal of the image, though.
