I hope that i identified correct this species. I found this little flower also in Bourgoyen, but I don't know yet if this flower was cultivated there or not. Way I am asking this, because somebody told me that some years ago, in that place were houses, and, of course, gardens. I wiil try to find if this species grows spontaneously here.

But, some words about Anemone genus.

Kingdom: Plantae
Division: Magnoliophyta
Class: Magnoliopsida
Order: Ranunculales
Family: Ranunculaceae
Genus: AnemoneL.
Anemone (A-ne-mó-ne, from the Gr. Άνεμος, wind), is a genus of about 120 species of flowering plants in the buttercup family Ranunculaceae in the north and south temperate zones. They are closely related to Pasque flower (Pulsatilla) and Hepatica (Hepatica); some botanists include both of these genera within Anemone.

The plants are perennial herbs with an underground rootstock, and radical, more or less deeply cut, leaves. The elongated flower stem bears one or several, white, red, blue or rarely yellow, flowers; there is an involucre of three leaflets below each flower. The fruits often bear long hairy styles which aid their distribution by the wind ("windflower" is a common name sometimes used for members of the genus).

Buna Oana,

Imi place fotografia ta. Contrastul dintre culoarea petalelor si frunze verzi/uscate da o anumita vitaliate fotografiei. Profunzimea este in concordanta cu subiectul detaliile florii fiind clare.

Toate cele bune,
Cristian

Hello Oana,
Fine capture of the blue form of Anemone blanda. The colours and sharpness are of high standard and the POV is great.
Normally this species does not occur in N. Europe, but it is possible that some can appear in the wild as garden escapes.
Thanks for sharing this beauty,
Ivan
