This is a very fine capture of an ice formation showing a lovely simple pattern in beautiful colours. I like the contrast between the 'brown' and the 'hazy' part. Very well framed too!

Hi Oana,

Looks as if Markus has started something but it is wonderfull to see the beauty that nature can make. Well exposed using light well.
The weather is doing funny things this year. Some areas near us have had more than 200% of the average rainfall causing flooding but also massive vegetation growth which is good for the animals.

Many thanks for this delightful dedication! I'm touched and feel very happy. Isn't it a great success if one can inspire other photographers? Moreover, the picture is superb! I like these soft lines very much and I'm delighted by their repetition. The colours are fine, too and highlight the shapes at best. I also believe that the unsharpness creates a particular and pleasant effect. By the way, it easily can occurr with ice surfaces that the autofocus gets troubles. It doesn't know it want the ice surface or the underlying underground to be sharp. I also sometimes use this effect or have to use the manual focus.

foarte interesanta compozitia ta . Fac o paranteza ... ar trebui sa incerci odata o iarna canadiana :) , aici zero grade este * piece of cake * , cunosc Belgia , am fost acolo in luna martie cu ceva ani in urma si intr-adevar e o iarna blanda .... adica "era" mai bine zis. Anyway live is beautiful wherever you are !

First of all thanks for kindness and mark me as a favorite TN member as well as for opportunity to meet your nice photo collection. I selected this one because I like Markus's pictures so much and you managed to select shot which is suitable for dedication by the best way. You have found and pictured a very attractive ice pattern and I like framing of the subject so much. May be it is not tack sharp. You are right here. Light conditions I suppose were not ideal for shooting. However, you have reflected the soul for nature art. And it is key point. My best wishes and TFS.
