Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo), a strange picture, because the bird is lit from below by the reflections in the snow.

Hi Paul,
It does look a little odd but the snow has provided great light and so gives great detail on the underside of the wings. It's a nice shot, nicely framed and great focus and detail. Nice work.
Regards,
Adrian

Hi Paul,
Excellent POV that shows clearly and sharply the feather markings on the underwings. I was wondering how you managed to get so much light on the underside until I read the note about the snow reflecting the light.
How perfect!
TFS. : )

L'éclairage particulie (par en dessous) permet d'obtenir beaucoup de détails sur le plumage de cet oiseau bien saisi en vol
Amicalement

Superbe. Les détails du plumage sont parfaits. La photo est naturel. Merci

Great capture!
This Buteo realy looks intrigated by something :)
Very nice POV, great details and colors!

Hi Paul,
TFS for this one! Great shot with very good details! I wonder at what distance this bird was from you. I'm testing many things with birds in flight righ now and it is not that simple. I have this 100-400 f4.5-5.6 zoom but so far, it is not concluant. I guess the raptors that I try to shot are to high in the sky... Regards,
Claudine

Hi Paul,
The light from below gives the bird a certain trnasparence and very airy feel.
Excelent sharpness on the details.
WEll done and TFS

Great shot Paul, reflexions are welcome in this case they give some kind of original luminescence,
about Carska Bara, it's very easy to come but don't get disappointed it's very small place with some colonies that are hard to see, you can watch them only from a boat. The largest migratory swamp is Obedska bara some 50 km from Carska bara, so you can visit both. It's cheap here, you can rent a boat or even ship for birdwatching.Try
