Malva moschata (Musk-mallow) is one of the last flowers to remains on the end of the autumn. You can see another shot of this beautiful flower taken in the summer here.
This species of Malva native to Europe and southwestern Asia, from Spain north to the British Isles and Poland, and east to southern Russia and Turkey.
It is a herbaceous perennial plant growing to 80 cm tall, with hairy stems and foliage. The leaves are alternate, 2-8 cm long and 2-8 cm broad, palmately lobed with five to seven lobes; basal leaves on the lower stem are very shallowly lobed, those higher on the stems are deeply divided, with narrow, acuminate lobes. The flowers are produced in clusters in the leaf axils, each flower 3.2–5 cm diameter, with five bright pink petals with a truncated to notched apex; they have a distinctive musky odour. (Wikipedia)

La mauve musquée (Malva moschata) est une de dernières fleurs à subsister à la fin de l'automne. Vous pouvez voir une autre photo de cette fleur élégante prise au coeur de l'été ici.
C'est est une espèce de mauve originaire d’Europe et d’Asie du sud-ouest, de l’Espagne au nord des îles britanniques et la Pologne et de l’est de la Russie du sud et la Turquie.
C’est une plante vivace herbacée, qui peut atteindre 80 cm, avec des tiges et feuilles poilues. Les feuilles sont alternées, de 2 à 8 cm de long et de 2 à 8 cm de large, lobées palmées, avec 5 à 7 lobes. Les feuilles basales du bas de la tige sont profondément lobées, celles du haut de la tige profondément divisées avec des lobes fins et acuminés. Les fleurs sont produites au bout de calices, chaque fleur atteignant 3,2 à 5 cm de diamètre, avec cinq pétales d’un rose vif. Elles ont une couleur musquée caractéristique.

Hi Catherine. This little flower is just hanging on . This one is now very wet from the rain but give a very good shot. good detail and colours. Winter is now with us. well done TFS.

Beautiful macro. The petals of the flowers seems very fragile under the water drops. I like in fact all the picture.

PS: I would like to "upgrade " my camera with a macro lens, and I saw that you have one (100mm). Are you satisfie by this lens? You have something pro or contra?

Beautifully captured! The raindrops on the flowers are great, but what I like even more is the conrast between them and the sunny, warm spots of orange in the background.

Excellent shot of these end-of-season flowers. In many ways they are more interesting than a perfect flower - I love the way the petals are almost see through. Good DOF and sharp detail.

What a fine photo you have made! There is such a fine image showing so well the comming autumn. You have captured an excelent light in your photo showing very delicate color tones. The transparency of the petals and the shine of water drops has been so well captured.
