[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
With the rook, it is perhaps the bird most characteristic of our campaigns. It does not have practically any bell-tower of y village which does not have a colony of these sociable and noisy birds. From size much smaller than the others corvidés black, the jackdaw is characterized easily by a gray spot clearly with the back from the head. For the remainder, the plumage is very black, but slightly paler on the sides and the chest. Its black nozzle is short and powerful. In flight, it gives a more compact appearance because of the wings shorter than those of the carrion crow. Its clear eyes give him a perspicacious air. Experiments showed that corvidés count indeed among the birds of which psychic faculties are developed. The jackdaw are birds enjoués and sociable with the gregarious temperament, which gather in large noisy troops to visit the gardens or to be perched on the roofs. They nest in small colonies, while putting up with almost all the cavities: trees, buildings, rocks, chimney holes, slits or cracks, and also often settles in the content of the nests of rooks and of will hérons. The nest can be used also as shelter all the year. Its troops frequently fly and are nourished in company of other birds, crow, rooks or starlings. In winter, it forms dormitories often associated with those with the rook. Less savage than the others corvidés, the jackdaw adapted to human constructions and are established easily in the gardens. They generally live groups some, but remain faithful to a spouse for the life. Very nimble, the jackdaw makes sometimes acrobatics in flight, to have fun seems it. The jackdaw has also the reputation to steal the nonedible brilliant objects, and in particular the jewels.

Hi Jean Louis

Nice POV. Good light and depth of colour. Good timing to get this guy having a sing. Well done. Thanks!

Hi Jean Louis,
Great capture. Love the POV and your exposure is very good maintaining good detail in the bird's plumage. I think the BG places the bird well within it's environment without being overly distracting.
TFS
Paul
