One of the first plants which flowers late winter. We can meet it on slopes, dry land and limestones.
Helleborus foetidus, known variously as Stinking hellebore, Dungwort, or Bear's foot, is a member of the buttercup family Ranunculaceae, native to western Europe, from England south to Portugal, and east to Germany and Italy.
It is a herbaceous perennial plant growing to 80 cm tall and 100cm across, with a thick succulent stem and evergreen glossy leaves. All parts of the plant are poisonous, containing glycosides.
Photo taken without tripod, but I leaned my arm on the rock.
--------------------------------------------------------

Beautiful photo of Helleborus. Good sharpness and composition. This species isn't native in my country, but I know it from botanical garden.
