Hello Pat,
Excellent shot in wich you've captured the lovely Atalanta and as bonus a Hooverfly also.
Sharpness, lighting and depth of field are great and details and colors beautiful.
Also love the soft background colors, against wich the butterfly and flower do stand out perfectly, and the frame.

Your depth of focus is so good. everything that needs to be sharp, is sharp. The out of focus background is quite nice. The neutral color/toned framing really puts the butterfly "front and center"... so to speak.

Hello Pat,

I really like this diagonal composition. The eyes are led to the most powerful point of the image where you also placed the butterfly. The outstanding background is very beautiful and also makes the Red Admiral butterfly stand out from the surroundings. I would have loved to see the bee facing towards the center of the picture. The very small aperture allowed for a deep enough DOF to render the whole subject sharply. The beautiful colors look great and saturation was well adjusted. Good exposure to show details in both highlights and shadows. Well done!

Présentation très artistique du beau Vulcain. C'est un des papillons les plus difficiles à photographier. Ton choix de le prendre à une certaine distance est ,je crois, le meilleur.
