[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another sad portrait of a raptor from Bouillion Castle. I know that is not very sharp and it still lack the clarity and the color saturation necessary for a great picture. But I like also this bird of prey; in fact, I don’t know exactly which species it is. The only certain thing is that belongs to Falco genus- falcons. Birds of prey well known for their hunting abilities, combined almost always with incredible speed.



Thanks for all the critiques that I received. But I will be away from my computer for almost two weeks, so I will not be able to critiq or post a picture. And I will miss TN!

Oana,

You will be missed as much as you miss! This is a nice shot. Is the detail on the bill a piece of meat from its prey? I didn't realize their bills hooked out and around that far. I have a falcon / hawk (not really sure which) who likes to frequent my 2-acre wooded yard, but alas I can never get this close to him. I will post a photo today and perhaps the lack of detail in my photo (to my chagrin I don't have more of a telephoto lens) will help you to be less critical of your own photo.

Hi Oana.
Many thanks for kindness and mark me as a favorite TN-member. It is great honor for me. You have told all about your picture correctly. It is really soft a bit. However, it is not so important point for this kind of photos I suppose. First of all I like wonderful framing of the charming bird. Second is very delicate and pleasant for look colour palette and unusual and very nice BG. Despite sharpness is not crisp details of the portrait are excellent. Lovely shot. TFS and kind wishes.
