Hallo Jaap,
nice 3D-view of the damselfly with natural colours. I wished to have more sharpness and focus at least on head, thorax and wing bases. Perhaps a slightly different point of view, i.e. a counter clock-wise turn of about 10°, and a smaller aperture would have partially compensated this problem.

Splendid damselfly shot you have here!
It's color is amazing and the contrast with the BG is excellent.
Lovley sharp details, great POV and nice framing - all these make ths a very beautiful composition.
I'm a bit surprised to see you taking this shot with an S2...:)

Een mooie shot van deze demoiselle,gedetaileerd en kleurrijk,,mooi geportretteerd door je vrouw,mijn complimenten,ikzelf zag in de zomer 2 van deze exemplaren achter elkaar vliegen,ik dacht ik wacht wel even tot ze ergens op gaan zitten,maar na een half uur was de vliegshow nog niet afgelopen en ben ik maar weer verder gelopen zonder opname gemaakt te hebben.

Ik denk dat dit fototoestel u wel de mooie macro's opleverd, want dit is opnieuw een knaller, dit is top man, qua kleur en compositie, en die vleugels zijn zo mooi, prachtig werk Jaap!

A very handsome damselfly, Mrs.Polak.
I like its purplish blue colour.
Needless to say, everything is just perfect in this picture.
Jaap must be a wonderful teacher to learn photography from; or is it the other way round :-)?

Me gusta el POV y la composición que creaste Jaap, con bellos colores y el agradable efecto de sombra sobre la hoja inferior.
Personalmente creo que la agudeza no la ideal sobre el cuerpo, tal vez sea alguna distorsión por el color del mismo pero no aparece totalmente definido, en cambio las alas se perciben perfectas.

I like POV and the composition that you created Jaap, with beautiful colors and the pleasant shade effect on the inferior leaf.
Personally I believe that the sharpness not the ideal on the body, perhaps be some distortion for the color of the same one but it doesn't appear completely defined, on the other hand the wings are perceived perfect.

I like your diagonal construction of your picture. The POV is very interesting and impressive. Unusual amazing colours of the BG. Perfect DOF, lights and darks.

WOW the combination of colours of this damselfly is WOW. The colours sparkle and glow and are just WOW. This image is proof of your excellent talent and capabilities with your camera.
