Identification:
Very known bird. General color white snows. Red orange nozzle. Black tuber characteristic with the birth of the nozzle. The sexes are identical, except in spring: the tuber is then larger in the male than in the female. Youthful their plumage draws on the gray, remember the history of Ugly Duckling. The youthful ones have a brown plumage grisâtre, starting to become white lasting the first winter, but some feathers remain gray until the second winter. The legs are black, the nozzle is gray, the eyes are brown. Theborn ones are gray pale with the white lower part. The nozzle is blue dark gray, the legs are blue gray. Theborn ones in clear phase are white with the legs gray clair/rose. The chicks weigh 210 to 220 grams with the birth. The tuberculé Swan has an acute hearing and a vision. In nature, it saw a score of years. In captivity, it can live from 30 to 40 years. |
