Hi Kristien,
although this is a bit small, it's still very eye catching. The colours are very vivid and the side POV is great, well done.
Paul

Dear Kristien,
Very good composition and colours for this Heliconiid butterfly feeding in yellow Lantana. The body, legs and antennae are in good focus, but the depth is too shallow to keep the wings sharp. Judging by the exposure details, it is not very bright in this butterfly garden. A smaller aperture will get a deper depth of field, but you can't go much below 1/80th with a real hope of success. In low light conditions, try to get a point of view where all the wing is at the same distance from the lens, or stay further back and crop more in post-processing. Thanks for posting.

Hi Kristien and welcome on TN!
Beautiful and very colourful picture with nice butterfly species (Nymphalidae family I believe). The timing was perfect - you kept this insect during eating/drinking :>
On the other hand it is a pitty that the picture is so small and note so short :)
Best greetings from Poland,
Radomir

Hi Kristien, splendid macro of wonderful butterfly, excellent sharpness, great colors, but why so little? very well done, HAPPY NEW YEAR ciao Silvio

Hi Kristien,

This is a beautiful composition and nice specimen! Details seem to be very good on its head, I wish that you could have post it in a bigger format for us to appreciate its beauty. I think that a faster shutter speed could have brought out more details. Well seen and thanks!

Hi Kristien

I would like it posted a bit larger but from what I can see this is a lovely image. Nicely composed, great colours and good POV
