[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Studying with whitish background is always difficult. This particular soldier beetle was photographd the same day i saw my peacock butterfly.

As i am not an expert on coleopterans, i dont know the ID of this beautiful insect. The shrub it is feeding on was the centre of attraction by all creatures around but butterflies. When i was on track of some flies and bees, this one came upon for a short visit to the flowers you are seeing.

Critiques [Translate]

Once again excellent details and an interesting pause. Perhaps it is a lighting effect, or did you use some sharpening ?
The insect is the cantharidae Rhagonycha fulva, which can become very abundant on flowers at certain times of year.

Thanks for your objective critique on my recent spider picture, Umit.
I appreciate your candid opinion.
Coming to your picture of this insect, it is a good capture despite the fact that the flowers are a bit over-exposed. Furthermore, there are indications of over-sharpening, especially around trhe antennae and the white spots on the abdomen.
BTW, what camera do you use?

Umit,
The white flower is over exposed but the beetle looks great, which is fine. That is you subject anyway, underplaying the flower. Good background color to bring out the beautiful color of you little red soldier. Does it bite?
