This is a lovely image with the nice toning colors and green accents. It is a nice off center composition with natural framing by the sticks around the bird.

Très belle photo de ce geai des chênes dans son environnement naturel. J'aime bien la pose de l'oiseau, c'est vrai qu'il dégage une certaine attitude. Les couleurs sont riches et malgré les quelques branches, tu nous le présentes avec une parfaite netteté. Bravo!

I have been deluged by a once in a lifetime snow and ice and whatever storm. My power has been out and on all day..We have a foot and a half of snow in 15 hours. It is a mess...so this is a cc'ed message to folks whose pics I normally critique. I will try to return tomorrow for proper...if not then this will be a unique critique..like a wind signature eh?

Wow Pat,magnifique photo de cet oiseau que je ne connaissais pas, j'adore ce treillis de petites branches tout autour, ça ajoute vraiment à la composition. Les couleurs sont superbes, la profondeur de champ est vraiment bien dosée et surtout, c'est très beau. Merci!

It is a very nice capture. The photo looks great due to POV as well as clear details and nice colors. I do not think the branches in front of bird would lover photo's quality.

Je pense que tous les geais du monde ont un attitude partìculière :) Tu as eu de bons yeux pour le voir en effet. Malgré les branches, on distingue tout de même de très belles couleurs et détails. La composition est superbe ainsi que sa pose. Ils sont tellement différents de nos Geais :) Bravo!

Fantastisch moooie opname van deze Vlaamse Gaai.(daarom maar in het Nederlands.)Ondanks de takken toch een perfecte scherpte en detailering op de vogel. Mooie natuurlijke kleuren. Persoonlijk houd ik niet van de omlijsting. Goede compositie.

What a pictorial scene. The tree branches have created amazing pattern. The wonderful bird among them is looked perfectly. Excellent DOF. Main subject is crisp sharp and BG is blurred and coloured nicely. Colour reproduction is simply fantastic as well as the eye-contact. Composition and framing of the picture are fine too. Bravo. superbe photo animalière et oui il faut publier ces photos-là
car il est vrai que une belle pose de l'oiseau avec un beaux
background et rien devant pour gêner à l'oiseau c'est bien,

et moi j'aimes aussi ces photos-là comme la tienne,
avec toutes ces branches devant l'oiseau,
ça nous met dans l'ambiance du sous-bois,

excellente densité des couleurs et netteté de l'image,

Bonjour Pat,
These guys are not easy to capture but you did a great job here, taking a shot of the Eurasian Jay among the dense branches, making focusing difficult. This is pretty sharp, with good lighting, a fine pose and POV that shows all the features and set in a great composition.
