What a magnificent pose!
I like so much this inclined pose and the way it has the head turned to the right, with its big catch on the beak.
Good lighting and well balanced composition with the help of the branches.

Hi Pat,

This is wonderful! A beautiful bird caught at a wonderful moment. Great timing to get him with the big peanut in his beak. Superb details of the face, wings and plummage. Lovely natural colors, pretty setting and a marvelous composition.

Hallo Pat
This Eurasian Jay has such a variety of colourful details that caught my eye. The blue colour of the bird’s eye is just stunning and attracted me immediately. I don’t think I ever saw a bird with this eye colour. The different patterns as well as colours on the wings are amazing. I also like the black stripes on the birds head and it looks like it has been combed backwards. The birds nails looks so sharp but also very fragile. The peanut is off course the cherry on the cake and rounds of this lovely photo. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful scene, Amazing pose of the bird and head turn. Timing is great as well as the details and sharpness of the bird, nut and stump. Colours are vibrant and fine too. I also like wonderful BG, Despite the domination of dry grass blurriness and impressiveness of the BG is excellent. My compliments. Perfect job.

Ta photo me fait penser à la fable de la Fontaine "Le renard et le corbeau "! Maître geai, sur un piquet perché, tenait en son bec une cacahuète; Maître Patt, par la photo attiré, lui tira le portrait(e)... Un coup de fatigue pour moi, mais tes deux dernières photos de geai sont des merveilles. velui-ci a une position peu courante. Seul reproche : je trouve tes cadres un peu lourd...

Bonsoir Pat, j'adore cette photo! L'écaille de l'arachide a le même pattern, ou presque, que les ailes. J'aime beaucoup la composition, et d'avoir gardé le tronc d'arbre si loin dans le bas de la photo, c'est vraiment beau comme effet. La composition est très belle aussi, les petites herbes séchées tout près de l'oiseau, les couleurs qui s'entremêlent, vraiment, c'est une belle réussite Pat. Merci beaucoup!

Great capture at just the right moment. Seems as though the bird has bitten off more the it will be able to swallow. Very sharp and detailed image. Excellent composition with vivid colours.
