Thaumatomyia notata ?

Chloropidae is a family of flies commonly known as frit flies or grass flies. There are approximately 2000 described species in over 160 genera distributed worldwide. These are usually very small flies, yellow and black and appearing shiny. The majority of the larvae are phytophagous, mainly on grasses, and can be major pests of cereals. However, parasitic and predatory species ar known.

There are scant records of chloropids from amber deposits, mostly for the Eocene and Oligocene periods although some material may suggest that the group dates back to the Cretaceous or earlier. (source: wikipedia)

A nice capture of this grass fly. Good details and composition. The thing that amazes me is its size and the hard work you did in spotting it and capturing it decently. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hola Marie.
Esta debe ser una especie de Mosaca de diminuto tamaño, sin embargo la foto fue muy bien lograda, alta definicion y exelente encuadre escogido para la presentacion Marie.
Un saludo.
Luis52.

Hello Mariki,
A great macro, considering the small size of this fruit fly. This is pretty sharp and shows the fly from a fine POV.
Thanks for sharing this one and have a nice weekend,
Ivan
