Lamium album (White Deadnettle) is a flowering plant in the family Lamiaceae, native throughout Europe and western Asia, growing in a variety of habitats from open grassland to woodland, generally on moist, fertile soils.
It is a herbaceous perennial plant growing to 50-100 cm tall, with green, four-angled stems. The leaves are 3-8 cm long and 2-5 cm broad, triangular with a rounded base, softly hairy, and with a serrated margin and a petiole up to 5 cm long; they appear superficially similar to those of the Stinging nettle Urtica dioica but do not sting, hence the common name "dead nettle". The flowers are white, produced in whorls ('verticillasters') on the upper part of the stem, the individual flowers 1.5-2.5 cm long.
The young leaves are edible, and can be used in salads or cooked as a vegetable. The plant also has a number of uses in herbal medicine. (Wikipedia)

Le lamier blanc ou ortie Blanche (Lamium album) est une plante de la famille des Lamiaceae, se trouvant dans l'ensemble de l'Europe et de l'Asie occidentale, grandissant dans des habitats variés allant de la prairie aux régions boisées, généralement sur des sols humides.
Malgré son nom et son apparence, cette plante n'a rien à voir avec l'ortie commune et ne pique pas. Les fleurs blanches et la tige carrée permettent de la distinguer sans équivoque. (Wikipedia)
Les jeunes feuilles sont comestibles, en salade ou cuites. La plante a également de nombreuses propriétés médicinales.

Salut Catherine,et voila' mon ami le lamium,j'ai eu la chance d'en voir 4 qualite' cette saison,ce ci n'est pas commun comme les autres.J'aime la qualite' de la lumiere dans ta photo,elle donne la vrai sensation qu'il se trouve parmi les arbres et les autres herbes,excellent travail,merci de partager,Luciano

Hi Catherine. You make good use of your sigma lens and camera. this is a fine close up of the nettle and flower. natural looking colours and detail.with good use of the light. well done TFS.

I would have tried to include in the picture the entire leaf in the lower center.
