Bee Beetle

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This Bee Beetle (Trichius fasciatus) is a beetle of the Cetonidae family.
Length: approximately 10mm.
The wing casings on the bee beetle vary in colour from creamy-yellow to deep orange. The bodies are very hairy and resemble bumble bees - hence the name.
The larvae develop in decaying wood, the adults feed on blossoms.

Hello catherine,
A fine macro of a mating pair of Bee Beetles on a Foxglove flower. The sharpness and POV are excellent. I might have tried to compose it so that there was more space to the right, but maybe the original didn't allow that.
Anyway it is a fine image that deserves more credit and thanks for sharing it,
Ivan
