Field garlic (Allium oleraceum) is a bulbous perennial that grows wild in dry places in northern Europe, reaching 80cm in height. Sometimes, the flower-heads are found containing bulbils only. The spathe is in two parts.
Field Garlic is native to temperate Eurasia. It can also be found in the United States near Illinois. (Wikipedia)

L'ail des champs (Allium oleraceum) est une plante herbacée vivace de la famille des Alliaceae.
C'est une plante à bulbe à tige solitaire. Les feuilles sont linéaires engainant la moitié inférieure de la tige. Le spathe qui entoure l'ombelle avant floraison s'ouvre en formant deux valves allongées. Des bulbilles peuvent parfois totalement remplacer les fleurs dans l'ombelle.

Hi Catherine. A very simple but effective capture of the garlic. You have pastle colours which are spot on . good detail and a bonus with the little insect. well done TFS. good notes too.

Nice warm light in this image and excellent depth of field, not always easy with a dSLR. Nice sharp details, just a little over-exposed with some detail lost in the highlights but noting too serious. A nice image.
