This is definitely a butterfly perched on a flower:-).
I was in a hide waiting for some birds. The only thing I were a few butterflies.
Very good hide though...but no birds. It isn't Kruger )-:.
Photographed in "De Gavers"
ID is in progress...
Thanks! |

Gee, even when you photograph insects the image is fun to look at. It was a pleasant surprise when I opened the image. The sharpness against the oof background gives it an almost 3-D feeling.
Nice work. TFS

Hi Annick,
Excellent detail on the subject. Maybe a bit too much background but you have composed it well with the darker area to the left making a balance with the insect. It helps to look around while waiting in a hide sometimes one sees something of even greater interest than what you actually wanted.

I like the DOF. But cropping it closer to the butterfly would be good in my opinion.

Hi Annick.
Amazing art subject. I welcome it so much. I like framing a scene and plenty free space on the left right corner. Nice combination of light spots and impressive more dark BG. Colours of the image are delicate and details of the main subject are superb. My greetings and TFS.
Alexei.
Hi Annick,
I like the originality of this photo. Not a close frame filling composition, but a photo with a lot of positive space. The long lens gave you a wonderful DOF to work with and isolated the subject perfectly. Wonderful soft colors and light and great details.

Hi Annick. It looks like a Gatekeeper but not 100%. Good detail and natural colours. with a nice pose on the flower. I think i would have cropped some to the top and left. A bit to much BG. but all that said still a good one. well done TFS.
Nick..
