You succeeded very well in taken this cormorant in flight with nesting material. I've tried it also the last days, but they were to far away. Maybe one of the next days.

It is always hard to capture flying birds, but you did a great job here - the Cormorant is frozen in a very nice pose, and the blue sky in the BG makes him stand out very beautifully. Excellent composition, too. Very well done !

Buna Oana,

Ai realizat o fotografie intresanta cu acest cormoran. Chiar daca din punct de vedere tehnic imaginea nu este cea mai buna fotografia este de apreciat. Ai prezentat pasarea in zbor, in timp ce transporta material pentru cuib. Momentul declansarii a fost bine ales, pasarea fiind surprinsa intr-o pozitie in care se pot observa bine atat corpul cat si penajul.

Hi Oana!

Your picture remembers me my last summer or rather late spring holiday on the Island of Krk. I had my new lens 70-200mm with a converter and tried to take pictures of flying gulls. I needed dozens of tries to get one correct picture...

Even if the sharpness in your picture is not perfect, it's ok. But more important is the impact of the picture together with the notes and the fact that the bird carries the material for its nest. Many thanks for this pleasant and interesting post!

Not easy to take a picture of a flying bird! Actually I never tried until now. You have caught an interesting moment, where the birds are occupied to carry around material for their nest, which makes the shot even more interesting. And Cormorants are so beautiful birds.
Well composed and a pretty good sharpness.

Here too in Calgary it is nesting time; the purple Finches are already nesting in our front yard.
But, where is the Spring??? It continues soooooo cold.

A fine in-flight capture of a Cormarant carrying nesting material.
Good shot technically taken from a fine POV that shows the features well from below against a pleasing blue sky. Perhaps a little too close to the top of the image but still a good shot.

It is not easy to catch a bird in flight but you have managed the shot pretty well. The framing is very good with the exposure of the plumage rather well seen. Beautiful spreading wings against the spotless sky.
