[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A male Sympetrum danae. Linne had given to the species the name "Libellula nigra", the Black Dragonfly. Much more descriptive IMHO, but official nomenclature decided otherwise !
Most Symeptrum species tend to perch a lot, sitting for their portrait with a wonderful patience...

Very good colours and very good composition, little bit noisy, but it is not affecting the picture a lot.

Very good macro, Philippe.
Nice colours, very good details and well composed.
Very well done.

A dragonfly who sits patiently? Please take me to this place ;-)
A lovely image, lots of detail. Great pov.
There appears to be some noise but it isn't too distracting.
Thanks for posting.

Hi Philippe, nic shot. This is a very nicely coloured specimen, not quite all black on the abdomen yet. Nice composition and details. I think it is slightly soft in focus but only slightly and there is a little noise that could easily be removed.

Well done.

Hi Philippe, I have no time to write a decent comment. I give to you the well deserved smiley.

Hello Philipe,
Wonderful specimen and a very good capture. Details are fine, so the colours and DoF. A minor, not minor but a micro nit is, to see the head of the dragon would be better. It's not a nit at all.:)
Very well done.
