A very widespread, and often extremely numerous species. The male (below left) has less orange on the forewing than the female. It is quite a variable species however and is prone to fading towards the end of summer.

Hello Dario,
A very beautiful photo in great contrasting colours and good sharpness. I should crop a piece of the right side to get the butterfly more out of the centre for a better composition.

Hi Dario,
I'm pretty sure Maniola jurtina. See here for a similar picture of C. pamphilus I posted a week or so ago. Your details and colours are very good. Perhaps the composition would be a little better with the butterfly off-centre, and perhaps the picture could be made a little brighter to give a more sunny feel. Thanks.

A beautiful picture of this lovely Meadow Brown. You captured it perfectly in a wonderful pose on the pretty flower. The colors and details are excellent. The bug on the flower is a bonus. Your subjects stand out beautifully from the natural background.
