[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Giant Moth, 15cm+, sat on a metal pipe at a house in the Drina Valley, Eastern Bosnia. Can anyone help me ID this creature?

Hi Paul,
15cm?? That's huge for a Moth! I can't help with the ID but it's an interesting shot, good light and excellent detail and colours. The light showing through the wings has really helped and interesting to see holes in the wings where the 'eyes' normally are. You've captured the textures well, a shame we couldn't see his face but it looks as if that POV was not possible. Nice work.
Regards,
Adrian

Hi
It's really Antharea yamamai.
BTW: intersting shot but I think the object is too close ;-)

Hello Paul,
this could be a Antheraea yamamai Japanese Oak Silkmoth. Interesting shot with wonderful details.
