This photo, maybe not the best in terms of quality, might be interesting for many of the visitors here. It depicts a young night heron (Nycticorax nycticorax) in flight - and the appearance of the bird is quite different as compared to the adult ones. Among my pictures there are some of adult nycticorax, so you can see the difference.

Hi Ivo,
At first glance looking at the tumbnail I thought this image was much to dark, but after I did open it, It is claer that it's not to dark at all, but exactly like it should be.
Like you did mention already there is some quality loss due to color noise in the darker part of the feathers, but that does'nt effect the beuty of the image.
Excellent capture in wich the bird does stand out greatly against the dark blue sky.
