this is a fantastic robberfly picture. Besides the details of the insect,
I like the well shown structures of the bark and its natural colours.
Great depth of field reveals pretty good sharpness from the legs to the body of the fly.

Ohh, que maravilla !! Radomir has llevado esta toma a un alto nivel de calidad, tanto técnica como artística. Es una delicia el poder observar a este insecto con tanto detalle. A destacar también los difíciles tonos grises, que pueden distinguirse claramente entre los colores negros. La base, muy acertada, aumenta el contraste y favorece la visión de este díptero. Los pelos impresionantes y formas angulosas y tonos metálicos preciosos. Enhorabuena por tan excelente captura.

you don't produce a lot on TN but each time you do it's an EVENT! Superb choice of light angle, background, excellent DOF. Did you really do this perfect shot with a Coolpix 5400? Wow, I didn't know that a Robber Fly could be this beautiful!! But, of course, it is due to your magic hands on the camera! Fantastic shot, very sharp and I like the "halo" effect caused by the light on the hairs. Excellent low POV and beautiful colours too. Great work! Is it posed on a burnt log or is it a lichen??

A real top class image my friend.The detail down to those scary looking spiky hairs on its legs is quite mind boggling.The colours and exposure are so natural and I like how the sun catches its front and reflects in his eyes.This is great work.
