Pobiti Kamini (Fallen Stones) Geological Reserve

It is located some 20 km west from Varna. The stone columns (even some 4-5 meter high) look like human-made but in fact they are remnants of the time when this area was a bottom of the ancient Sarmatian Sea (in Tertiary period). At this time they were so called "cold sips" structures building up around places where metane was siping from the rocks. Even now some working structures of similar nature are found througout the ocean. It is a very interesting and impressive place to visit.

To look inside of the column and learn some more see the workshop.

Faktycznie wygladaja jak ruiny jakiejs starozytnej budowli. Ladne swiatlo, perspektywa, kadrowanie. To musi byc piekne miejsce.

What an interesing subject and a great photo with the stones in the foreground and distant background as well.

Witaj Michal!
A true and beautiful picture ot this phenomenon - Pobiti Kamini, which I'd rather translate as Standing stones, or Nailed stones, because the correct form of "broken" or "fallen" is razbiti and not pobiti.
Anyway, whatever the translation, the photo is truly a masterpiece of an exotic lanscape.
Anton
