Scarabeus sacer
Family: Scarabeidae
This beetles so important in the religion of ancient Egyot occur commonly throughout southern Europe. Here is a female ready to form another ball of cow's feaces to burry it deep under the ground, and provide food for larvae that emerge from the eggs deposited on the surface of the ball. |

Hi Michal,
a good shot of an interesting insect.
I like to see him in "action".
You captured him with good sharpness, I like it, thanks

Ho, ho, you are very naughty boy Michal - but your title sounds very good ;-) I like these beetles - they're very easy to capture with theirs 'fast' moves ;-) Good work!

Hi Michal
Nice closeup and I learned a lot with your note.

Witam!
Pozdrowionka,
Radek
