[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Wall Lizard (Podarcis muralis) was photographed on a wall inside the small and incredible beautiful village Veli Losinj. This is the most southern village on the island Cres-Losinj and the roads end here. Further on is just a maqui covered peninsula surrounded by the fantastic Adriatic sea.

There are many interesting reptiles and amphibians here and I will post more photographs later on....

Lizards are very common and you see and hear them everywhere. One of the most common lizard are this Wall Lizard and you get used to seeing them almost all the time. But look carefully and you will see how beautiful they really are! Look at the eyelashes... ;o)
(and yes I know they are not for real)

Photoshop CS was used to:
Crop
White balance, contrast
Unsharp mask (85,1,4 settings) on the B/W channel in LAB-colors
Neat Image for some noise reduction

very nice capture, you usd very well the light in this picture, the flash was good to took all the details and colours of the lizard.

Hello Bengt, this is an attrative protrait. I like the low POV and I love the colour under his chin. I think the shot is a little overexposed. Well done on this.

Very nice picture of male in mating colours :) I have seen this species many times when I was in Montenegro, Croatia and Albania but they always were less coloured. This specimen is really great :)
According to technical aspects of this picture I would change only the DOF because at present it does not take all part of head :)
Anyway, very nice picture.
