This is a photo of the waterfalls of Plitvice National Park,Croatia.
They are a very beautiful spectacle and when they are in full flow they look even more impressive.
I spent a week there in April 2006.
I went to take photos of the wildlife there but found that there was very little of anything left.
The poachers and local hunters have decimated the wild creatures that lived there and, when I was there hardly a bird flew in the sky.
There are European Lynx in the area and there are supposed to be some bears and wolves deeper in the forest but I saw nothing.
Plitvice is situated about 300 km South of Zagreb within the Serbian province of Lika.
More can be seen of this visit on yourube.
Go to www.youtube.com and enter Roynsam in the search bar.
There are a lot of my tiger videos and others there also.

Hi Roy,
This is a beautiful fall. I like the exposure of 1/6 seconds. It results in a great effect.
TFS.

Hallo Roy
I read your intro page with great interest, and came across this beautiful landscape whilst browsing through your gallery. A most enjoyable sight. This waterfall is stunning, and I am in no doubt you enjoyed photographing it, as much as I have looking at it. I am sure you could smell the freshness and the spray of the falling water, and I can imagine the awesome feeling you had being so close to such view. I have many times admired scenes like this one, paging through books. The water really looks so cool and refreshing, and I am sure many youngsters would love to swim in that pond if they would have the opportunity. Idyllic scenery. It is a pity that the photo itself is rather small. The detail would have displayed with more impact would it have been larger. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna
