The opuntia should be a very difficult place to land but the butterfly did stay there long enough for me to take this shot.

Thanks to Anne and Sabine, this one should be Charaxes jasius (Two-tailed pasha), which is a butterfly which can be seen only in the Mediterranean regions in August and September.

Bonjour Sayat,
Je viens de voir ton magnifiqiue papillon au milieu de piquants. Quelle contraste! Il s'agit, il me semble de Charaxes jasius, en anglais Two tailed pasha. Je dois vite retourner faire le repas, je n'ai pas le temps de vérifier. D'autres te donneront certainement l'ID.
