| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
European lynx (Felix lynx) is an endangered species of northern Europe to east Asia. It inhabits primarily mixed forests, but man pushes it into more open woods territories and rocky mountain slopes. It's main pray are deer, goats and sheep, up to four times bigger than itself, but it also hunts rabbits and similar smaller animals.
Although there are attempts to save the lynx and reintroduce it into west Europe, it is still very rare. Farmers hunt it, it gets killed on the roads, and male youngs die of an unknown reason (probably a genetic disorder) |
