Hello Adrian,
A fine macro of what I think is Spialia phlomidis, rare species of Skipper in Croatia. Taken from a fine POV with great sharpness, lighting and colours. It does not look like the other Spialia species, so if I am right I congratulate you on this rare capture of a species that is more common in Turkey.

Congratulations on posting this rare butterfly - if Ivan says it is, it must be. A wonderful pose on the flower that it blends so well with. It's a beautiful skipper with pretty colors and good details of the body, head and lovely wings. I love the composition with the flower filling the frame.

this is an interesting skipper species indeed that I have not seen before. You caught it with all its metallic reflexions in full light on a sun drenched thistle flower. Exotic indeed! Thanks for presenting the picture, Adrian.
