Hello David I have an Ident for your insect. It is not a Dragonfly but a White-legged Damselfly (Platycnemis pennipes).
Hope this information helps with a note to acompany the image.
The images is not bad considering the shutter speed and F stop you had to use so late in the evening. at these sort of speeds a tripod or some thing to rest the camera on is almost a must for a sharp image.
