His name's Crested Caracara.
The Crested Caracara (Caracara cheriway) is a member of the falcon family despite its quite non falcon-like behavior. It occurs from Texas and Arizona into the tropical areas of Central America. A similar species, the Southern Caracara (Caracara plancus) occurs all the way south to the Tierra del Fuego area of South America. The Crested Caracara will often feed on snakes, lizards, and other live prey, but it will readily feed on carrion as well. |

Beautiful display of the wing and tail feathers, Libor. Great POV and sharp details for an in-flight shot. Well done and TFS. : )
Hi Libor,
An excellent in-flight shot. A nice full sharp wing. The colors, detail, and composition look great. Nice Work!
