Itīs fresh shot from today morning. I went to forest near my home, there is first snow in my country today. At 6.30 AM it was -10 degree, so a little cold:) I was going alongside the river and in the distance a saw "battle circle" of ten does. They watch me first, so i had no chance to advance towards to them. But it was really nice moment for me, sky was orange, because of cold weather, and fog...great atmosphere for me

Beautiful photo David and a new addition to my favourites theme :)
It is razor sharp with excellent clarity.
Amazing lighting and colours.
Perfect composition and POV.
Very well done,
Joe

Pretty cool photo. I like tje light, I like the tree and the compositiion is is just right. Well done.

Hi David,
What a wonderful photo. The light is just magnificent. The odd shaped dead trees do give the photo a bit of a ominous feel, but the warm light and the flock of deer do create a special touch. Your low POV, your perfect exposure and the details all make for a perfect photo.
TFS,
Niek

Hi David

This is one amazing capture! Your intuition lead you well...i would have definitely thought twice before going out on such a cold morning :)
Yet, you came back with one impressive capture!
It's also a very original shot! Usually, we see close-ups of deers (weather it's 1 or more), but here, it was not only the does that were important, but also the impressive atmosphere around them, given by the red sky in the morning, the cold snow around them and enhanced by those ancient looking trees.
The composition is brilliant and the exposure is spot-on, to further emphasize the mood of the picuture.
A terrific DOF (although i would like to know how much it was) and excellent contrast, too.
Simply amazing!

Bravo and TFS

Definitely an impressive pic. And very unic as well.
Something mystical in the atmosphere.
The orange cast, the frozen ground, the massive desolated dead tree and the fog are all a plus.
I wish I was there.

Wonderful shot! The soft orange lighting and the deer grouped in the middle gives beauty to the picture. Also great composition.
