| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Let me introduce my favorite, and a very uncommon rodent which gave me my treknature name. This is the Silvery Mole-rat or Sand rat (Heliophobius argentocinereus). The Latin name means a silvergrey animal which does not like sun. Its occurs in East Africa, SE Zaire, E Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique. It is one genus of the five ground-dwelling genera of African Mole-rats (Bathyergidae). This picture was made at Budweis University, and shows a individual from Malawi. |

Hallo Klaus,
Ein Erdbohrer, und das auf TN! Danke vielmals, dass Du das gut gelungene Bild hier präsentierst. Ein Erdbohrer, nochmals Oh und Ah.
Herzlich grüsst
Dieter
