| Woke up at 5:00AM to be at the meadow soon enough before the moisture is gone and insects warm up and fly away. Thanks to our friend Martin, who knows so much about all different kind of insects, we have had chance to learn about these flying jewels. |

Hello Lenka,
this is one of the rare really precise and well mastered portraits of this beautiful Demoiselle, Calopteryx virgo (L.) . I make you a big compliment for this one. I've tried since years to shoot this species but I was not able to come up with anything like this one.
The demoiselles are so spectacular that I invested years ago a lot of my time and force of conviction to a village when they intended to build houses near a river holding these demoiselles. I succeeded, and some of the villagers today still are proud of their Demoiselles today.
best regards
Dietrich
