A great shot.
Very nicely composed and good sharp detail.
I'm not sure which species of bee this is but I'm sure someone on here will know.

Sorry Jeepe no help on the ID other than its a Bumble bee of some sort (Bombus)
The bee is well seen the thistle is a little over exposed on the top petals other wise a spot on shot.

Nice close-up of the bee's face. I love the details in the hair as Rob said a little bit if burn out on the thistle, but great shot. The best I can do on the ID from books and internet is Bombus agrorum, but I'm not certain.

Very original this punk of yours. Extreme close up handled very well. Like the compo. Tad bright on top of thistle as Rob said. But still an impressive shot. Thanx for sharing.

I like his fluffy neck and back, and the perch. I would crop of most of the top, to just above his back – it will enhance the composition.

Good shot, Jeppe, and interesting how to a certain extent the appearance of the bee and the flower are similar to each other. Great colors and DOF. I think you could crop tighter towards the main subject.

Lovely macro Jeppe, the colours are splendid. The bee is well seen, the thistle is wonderful.

A good title for a great shot, Jeppe. The foreground detail and the DOF are both excellent. I like the way the bee even has the appropriate 'punk' hair colour. Well captured.

It is very hard or allmost impossible to identify the bee without seeing the rest of it. Anyway my best shot is a Bombus muscorum (I have no English name for it but the Danish name is Moshumle). If it has the same orange colour on its hind body I am pretty sure of the identity.

anyway it is a very nice picture - very sharp and clear.

Le contraste est superbe et les couleurs accentuent plus cette sensation.
J'aurais une profondeur moins importante pour éviter que le regard se perde sur le fond de l'image mais cela n'est qu'un point de vue purement et simplement personnel.
