I took this picture of a Redpoll in July near the Russell Glacier, just north of the Arctic Circle in Greenland.
These birds were very common throughout the area and were relatively tame to calm observers. In this spot they were intermingling with Snow Buntings.
I sharpened the image and brought up the saturation a bit. |

Nice picture of this little bird. Good lighting and detail with a nice composition where the bird is looking into the photo. Nice blurred background as well.
