Cold, Snow, Pain, Water, Ice, Wind, Laughter, Fun, Friends, Tent, Ration pack, Nature, Beauty, Mountains, Rocks, Helicopter...
These are the words when come to my mind when I think about my expedition to Greenland. 30 days out in the cold, walking 8 hours a day to discover places where very few have been before. To camp in places so remote that only few if none managed to reach.
This is one of those places. In the middle of no where, in the background you can see 'Hamish ridge' whilst in the tents are my expedition friends, sleeping as it is about 2 o'clock at night. You can still see everything as the sun never went down. |

Artur,
Looks like a beautiful place. I like the image, gives a real sense of solitude and quiet. The mountains are beautiful and I like the late-night Arctic light in the scene. Regarding the image: you cold probably crop away a bit of the foreground and the sky creating a more panoramic appearance. I think the way the tents are reminiscent of the mountains in th background is a nice feature of the photo and a little cropping would emphasize the relationship.
Best,
Dave Shaw
