Welcome on TN Carsten. Nice attitude on this Larus ridibundus (Blackheaded Gull). The colours are nice for a grey, cloudy day which it looks like. The focus is a little soft on the head and more on the tail. Otherwise good handling on the light and nice composition too - a little more space in front of the gull would have been nice. But most of all I miss a note telling little more about the picture and the taking.

Hi Carsten, and welcome here on TN, Hope you enjoy it and post a lot .
I like the pose of the gull, also the size. However, it needs a little breathing space in front of the bill and a "stronger" highlight in the eye by the use of fill flash. Withthis nice lens you are using, you must shoot at a smaller f-stop to render the whole subject sharp, the dof gets compressed at the 500 mm side. Just some pointers to help.
