Mallard male
Mallard ducks come in many colour variations, mainly due to cross-breeding with escaped tame ducks.

The action captured nicely.
Hello Dan,
Very nice in flight capture.
Sharpness is very good.
I am sure this is not a cross breeding variant of the mallard, but a very normal wild one with all color details, like the glossy metallic green and blue of head and neck and the wonderful deep blue feathers in the middle of the wings, like they should have.
The image is a little under exposed and therefore it might look like a cross breed with different color variation.
I did rework the image a little in photoshop.
Hope you like it.
Best regards, harry
Superb in flight capture from a nice POV. I especially like the wing formation, just lovely. Excellent color and detail, good DOF. Nice catch light in the eye.
