Welcome to TN. I like the composition and definition in this scene. I wonder what causes the foam?

Wonderful capture, Jeppe - welcome to TN. Funny scene, it almost looks like they are doing some "synchronous swimming" performance, in which the postures and even the amount of foam on the beaks are quite identical :-) Very nice.

Welcome to TN Jeppe, great 1st post here, lots of detail even in the white foam.
is the foam formed by water going over a drop or by bacterial action?

Welcome on TN Jeppe. Are you sure it is not you bathtop indisguise ;-). Very clear (clean ;-) shot of these mallards in a funny situation. I like the syncron effect in this picture and the composition too.

Good shot! I'm not usually a big fan of Mallard shots, but this is hilarious - you've done it again! Technically there's quite a bit of chromatic aberration around the bottom of the lower Mallard and the tail of the upper one - try using Hue/Saturation and knocking the Magenta right down, I don't think it'll harm the rest of the image, but it should reduce the appearance significantly. The CA makes me wonder what camera/lens you're using though? I might also be tempted to try a little Contrast Masking to bring out some of the shadow detail a little more too. Anyway, an excellent shot and it's great to see you on TN :-D

Are you quite sure you didn't happen to empty a bottle of dishwashing liquid into the pond by mistake ;-))
I can see some problems with the capture; the reddish cast on the ducks and a certain darkness caused in all likelihood by the contrast to the white foam, but I like the look of the two anyway.

Looking at the pond, i guess you must have got wet feet taking this one. I love the detail in the mallards and also the "simpleness" of the composition. Great work!

Hi Jeppe, I'm back. Very interesting photo. The two ducks on the white foam makes for a very different type of photo. The foam on both their beaks is a very nice touch. Well done!

Welcome to TN. This is an unusual capture. The foam realy does not look natural. But this is how we learn. Nice touch the foam on both beaks. Thanx for sharing.

Oh yes, I saw these two on TE. They sure get around in their bubble bath. And an interesting phenomenon it is. Your shot is as always impeccable and beyond critique - and with all that white, that is even a fine feat. But I will find something to recommend in another shot, OK?
