I heard by you and by the news on the television of the terrible storm which you underwent in Denmark and somewhere else in Europe. It is very good to wonder about the way that animals protect themselves during such storms. Us, with our houses and buildings, are relatively safe, but the animals...

I try every day to take pictures from these birds but without succes because I can't approach them they are affraid. So, your shot is superb,full of colours and details.

This one had to land on your lens, Bente. It is the closest I have seen a gull in-flight. What was the focal distance? It looks really close. Nice sharp details and I kinda like the compo. That tail feathers looks so nice.

I think he was eying the chick in the lens, driven neared to investigate the strange apperition!

I missed that one, Bente! I like the colors and the warm soft light, the best one on white feathers. The very subtle motion blur gives another dimension to this shot, as well as the efficient close framing. Very well done;

Superb shot Bente. From the answer you gave to Jean Louis, I can see that nothing is "by chance" in this capture. You really managed to get a best shot. Light is just perfect from the right while the bird is flying against the wind to the left. I like the warm white tones and the reds of the beak and legs. And the tight crop works for me.

A really beautiful capture with the late evening light! The black spot on the head is interesting, I've never seen one like that before. Nice post!
