Kingdom: Plantae
Division: Magnoliophyta
Class: Magnoliopsida
Order: Asterales
Family: Asteraceae
Subfamily: Lactucoideae
Tribe: Cardueae
Genus: Cirsium
Species: C.heterophyllum (in English Melancholy Thistle, in Estonian villohakas)
It is a common perennial grass species in Estonia, frequent on the moorland and roadsides. Flowerhead diameter: 3-5 cm. Leaves edged with soft spines but do not feel prickly like other thistles, and are white beneath. Base leaves long-stalked, upper stem leaves stalkless and surrounding stem with large basal lobes (auricles). Stems unwinged and without spines.
The Melancholy Thistle gets its name from the way the solitary flower-head hangs downwards at the top of its tall unbranched stem.

Very good contrast especially in center of the flower. However I think you should use a smaller aperture to obtain a better DOF.
P.S. Did you obseve? Generaly TN members are not intrested of flowers!
