Almost same note as for the bog bilberry.

Oulu area in northern Finland is a flat land where we can find a lot of peatland or mires. Dwarf birch (Betula nana) is common in this area.
As you can see, the color changes are for this species fascinating, from yellow to red. I caught this birch leaf using "contre-jour" effect, sun light coming through the leaf, enhancing so the colors.


I use a digital pocket camera HP photosmart 735, so I'm not able to say anything about the technique. Sorry. Cropped and littles adjustment with PS.
