frozen saxifrage

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The protected yellow marsh saxifrage (Saxifraga hirculus) at Harakkasuo mire, near Oulu. I liked this combination of frost and autumn colors.
This saxifrage is one of the rare saxifrage that does not grow on stones, but on mire. It grows on nutrient rich fens and also around eutrophic spring areas. The two growing places in Oulu are 2 springs, one at Harakkasuo and and the other is a new place discovered this autumn by.... myself at Pilpasuo. |

An an excellent detail of water crystals. The composition and light are superb. Very nice work.
This looks very beautiful, and said looks only because I would have loved to see it in a bigger frame, taking advantage of the 800 pixel size TN offers. For the rest it is a beautiful and interesting shot.
the side of the flower looks like a couple of small glass, the color is good...probably the glass looking side makes it more enticing to look at
Hi Sylvain,
This is a wonderful picture.
Compsition is great and I did not know these ice cristals can grow that long.
