Hi Gert,
I was watching these in the wild at the weekend and thought how beautiful they are. For a grab shot it's a superb result. I'd be very happy with this if I'd spent a week planning it :-) Great shot.

Adrian

Hi Gert
An amazing in-flight shot of this very colourful Shelduck. He looks like he has some place to go in a hurry! You even got the catchlight in the eye ......... fantastic! Simply perfect MF. Thank you!
Hi Gert
This is really what separates the some bodies from the nobodies, those that have become from those that wane-be, those that can do from those that couldn't do, those that may do from those that wish to, those that know how from those that wonder how, and those that aim and gain from those that aim and blame.
You are a gainer as it seems like you just nonchalantly or in a hurry pick up the camera, point it at a flying duck and walla - a master piece. I am still a blamer as I could plan such a shot, set up all the equipment and props, check the settings over and over, carefully observe all the rules, even maybe get a trained duck to fly scores of times past me, shoot 6 dozen or more shots, and blame the flop on bad lighting, or a slow lens, or even on the gravitational pull of the moon, or what ever.
Gert, you may because you can, period. This shot is definitely not 'quite good' as you make it to be, but this is an excellent shot. If you don't believe me, just read the 14 critiques above again and let the majority vote.
Well done on all counts my friend and TFS.
Regards

so you've done it again. Just get a new species and bang an almost perfect in-flight shot.
Exposure is really nice and the composition is very good. For a snapshot is brilliant, but for a duck shot from Gert,........ its not bad :):)
